“May you trust your highest power that you are exactly where you are meant to be…
May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith.
May you use those gifts that you have received, and pass on the love that has been given to you…
May you be content knowing you are a child of God…
Let this presence settle into our bones, and allow your soul the freedom to
sing, dance, praise and love. It is there for each and every one of you…”
I am exactly where I am meant to be, I am sure of that and my faith as I enter the year 2015 is as strong as ever. I know my Lord is coming and I hope it will be soon. Let the suffering and pain of this world help us to be ready for the next. Without suffering and pain how would we know joy and love and I feel joy and love every time I pray to my Lord and I just feel him surround me with comfort.
Sometimes it is really hard, watching the news and all the dreadful things going on, even though I know they are signs that he will be coming soon, the pain that people are suffering is difficult to bear. I am so grateful I have the fellowship of my church through these times. The support and love I receive through my fellow believers is motivating and regenerates me.
During this cold spell and with more to come according to the weather forecast a lot of us cannot make it to church or prayer meetings. Not to despair though we have come up with a plan. I have checked, everyone but two members have internet and the two members live near enough other members to go there for prayer meetings despite the harsh weather; we are going to conduct the prayer meetings via Skype. Isn’t that great, we might not be able to hold hands but knowing we will see one another and pray together is marvelous. The other arrangement we have made is a sort of Round Robin of contact every day. We have worked out a rota and we all have a copy of who is calling who, either by phone or Skype every prayer member will have daily contact. Then if any problems arise there is someone to talk to or to take action if one of us falls sick or needs some form of help. So feeling lot more positive about this bad weather now, last year it got so lonely for some people not been able to go out because of the bad weather but this will not happen this year. We have spent some time preparing for this and have taught all we can how to use internet and Skype and for those who can’t or only use the phone one of the younger church members will be on call to visit. The younger members have been great, helping teach us older ones the internet knowledge we need. So I am away now to get ready for my prayer meeting, our first on Skype. I will let you know how it goes.
