Jesus will walk in Harrisburg..Will you walk with him?
“I write this to you who believe in the Son of God, so that you may know you have eternal life” (1 John 5:13).
Harrisburg, Pennsylvania is a lovely city, you can find it on the east bank of the Susquehanna River. We have a long history and were once considered the second best place in USA to
raise a family. I certainly enjoyed raising mine here. We have had our
problems, our most notable in 1979 the Three Mile Island Incident, which by the
grace of God we survived. Currently we are having some economic problems but I
believe these are part of the tribulations we have to deal with before Jesus
can walk this earth. Until the day Jesus arrives in our town, and he will I have no doubt of that, I have to do all I can to assist in the preparation for the His coming. One way I do this is
by keeping involved with my local community. I help with the aged and I volunteer
at a homeless shelter. I also keep active in my church… Although this week I
seemed to be everywhere at once. I actually had to `diary` my week it was so busy.
I nearly missed choir rehearsal!! I never thought I would do that. Diary
in God!! What a thought. God is with me every minute of every day while I am
awake, asleep, in prayer or volunteering. Sometimes I have to remind myself of
that and slow down a little. Take time to look around me. Something we all need to do. I guess this blog is one way of doing this, so please feel free to join in.
Talking about tribulations, we all have those don’t we? Sometimes it’s our children or spouse or neighbors or the grouchy old timer in the shelter who likes to swear at me and bat my butt!
Tribulations before Jesus comes will affect all of us; in fact I guess it has
already started looking at events in the world. If you can, take the time to
listen to this message about the end of days before Jesus comes. I would value your comments.
